Great everyday shoe
My go to for everyday shoes. Have had several pairs in succession. Comfortable, well made, look good, fit well. In fact I always keep a new pair in a box in my closet in case they get backordered or discontinued in the future.

Roomy, light, good traction
Mild bunions, a susceptibility to plantar fasciitis, and ridiculous linear growth over the decades (from size 10.5 to size 13 since 1970) have all made my feet finicky. Shoes that seem fine for two days often pose problems later. After seven days’ hiking—4.2 miles a day over mostly rocky, uneven ground—these shoes are still comfortable. If they continue accommodating my feet and also hold up well, lasting six months or more, they will be the best bargain in shoes I’ve ever bought. Update, May 16, 2025: I have now worn these shoes on at least 260 days, putting about a thousand miles on them. The heals are showing wear, and the lace on one shoe required replacement, but otherwise the shoes are in fine condition. They should be good for at least five months more. They have never hurt my feet.

Excellent hiking shoe – very comfortable
Have been walking the neighborhood and I find the shoes very comfortable. The shoe is very stable and the soles while thick are pretty light. It is an attractive shoe and the laces are very good and are of a convenient length. Sizing is good. Well done!

Good value
My husband loves these shoes. I’m a little skeptical about how long they’ll last because they don’t seem very sturdy, but they’re comfortable right out of the box, so no need to break them in.

Outstanding quality & comfort!
Good looking shoe; great quality; excellent support and cushion; extremely comfortable. Wore them for 3 weeks in Europe, including on trails in the Alps – excellent shoes! Wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again in a heartbeat!

Great quality. Great price. Outstanding comfort.
Ordered (blindly, as a leap of faith) a pair of these after trying on Merrel Moabs, Keens, and a few other highly recommended brands and models, none of which worked for my relatively wide feet. Columbia Crestwood fit perfectly and have been super comfortable throughout the few hikes I did in them. Lightweight, flexible (but not overly flexible), they provide just the right amount of grip and protection for the toes. Plus, they were like 40% of the price of the nearest competitor, which is crazy. Love the product and would buy again. Good job, Columbia!

The Most Comfortable for Day of Hiking
The Columbia Crestwood stands out for its exceptional comfort, light weight, and breathable ride straight out of the box. Ideal for day hikes, frequent trails, and casual outdoor use. If you’re picky about arch support or logging long treks, you might enhance the comfort with supportive insoles and socks. Ordering a half-size up is a wise move—especially if you hike in cooler weather with thicker socks.Among budget hiking boots, the Crestwood is among the most comfortable—a great everyday trail shoe that performs well on shorter treks.

Good walking shoes
Overall good shoes, got these for my roommate, he goes through shoes so fast that $200+ shoe options were not realistically sustainable option anymore. Needed to find more affordable option while not compromising the quality. These were a good fit, comfortable for longer walks, design is quite good as well.

Enjoyed my 8km tropical trail hike in this new pair. Firm base with mid level cushioning. Lots of room for toes and ankle guard. Ideal if need thicker socks for winter climate. Did not test waterproof in rain or puddle yet. Great value if purchased during sale period. Much relaxed fit than my former Salomon hike shoes.

Fit much better than the last pair i bought that was size 50. Now that I have these, I realise, the last pair would have been better as size 51 as these were.

I was looking for a replacement for my Merrell Moab 3 as the size 12 I had in them was getting a bit tight around the toes as I wear orthotics. These Columbias are a proper size 12 as Merrells always come up a half to a full size too small.Lots of room around my toes even with my orthotics in the shoes. The shoes themselves provide plenty of support and I’m finding them very comfortable.Decent price and a brand I’ve not tried before but will buy again when they need replacing.
