Perfect for AFO/ankle braces
My father had these for diabetic issues he was having, worked for him. I tried a bunch when I got an AFO put on, nothing worked. When my dad said to try these, they are a wonder. 100% would recommend to anyone having either diabetes or to anyone who has some kind of ankle brace on, makes it easier to slip on your foot.

Great shoes that are easy to get on
I was so very thrilled to finally find these shoes. It is terribly hard to find shoes wide enough to fit swollen feet without a huge price tag. He especially loves the way the wings flip up to allow them to go on easily for a high instep. Arch support is great I thoroughly recommend these shoes for anyone with swelling in their feet!

I can not see where these would not fit any one with problem feet

Just buy them, you won’t regret it!
Bought these for my father, who is elderly. The last couple of years he’s been getting swollen feet and ankles and typical wide fit sneakers just weren’t comfortable anymore. He tried these and LOVED them! They are so easy to put on. The whole tongue and top of the shoe is velcro. The velcro runs down the sides of the top of the inside panel of the sneaker. It was very easy for him to get his foot in and fasten them with the velcro. I did, however, have to buy him a shoe horn because it’s getting harder for him to bend over, without losing balance. He loves that they look like regular sneakers and not “old man” sneakers. Overall, a great purchase and my father is happy.

Not Actually for Walking
I was looking for walking or running shoes, 4E wide. I’d been buying these for years from BA Mason Co., but they went out of business. Similarly, Brown’s New Balance in St. Louis, I bought online, went out of business. In Amazon, I was looking for replacements for the same shoes I’d been using, but which got worn down after several years. Looking at the info for these Fitville shoes, called “walking shoes”, I got the impression you could walk, run, exercise as needed, but they had the added bonus of “extra roominess” in the front for diabetic swollen feet. I’m severely diabetic, but only have swelling on my shins, not on my feet. My feet are lean but super wide. My brother bought some shoes online that have extra room for swollen feet, but those came with numerous inserts to take up the extra space in the toe box and around the heel. So, they could be adjusted to a perfect fit, he says. (Like me, he needed them for extra WIDTH, NOT HEIGHT. 6E wide.) So, I bought these Fitville walking shoes, thinking they would fit everywhere on the foot normally but with optional extra height in toe-box which didn’t hurt anything if you didn’t need it. Also, the other reviewers raved about the velcro wings with opening in the center, saying that allowed more perfect fitting than any other design. When I got them, tried them on, I found they’re way too loose all over the front, and all over the heel, and the velcro wings cannot be closed tight enough to be effective. The wings can’t be extended far enough on each side. So, the shoes slip and slide all over my feet, or my feet slip and slide all over inside them. They cannot be used for any walking, let alone running. My biggest impression is these are only “walking shoes” only if you’re walking with a WALKER, very slowly and gingerly. Further, they’d be best for sitting in a wheelchair with these super loose shoes just protecting your feet from the hard footrest. So, I sent them back immediately, I can’t use them for anything (I’m not in a wheelchair or walker.) Extra inserts were not included to fill in the excess space, as my brother got with a different purchase. If you lack mobility, and need walker or wheelchair, only then do I recommend this purchase.

Looks good, but.
Looks good, seems well built. But I cannot get them on. The simple Velcro fastener is too much for my limited abilities.Working on a way to get my foot into the shoe.It really takes help to put shoes on , Once on they are very comfortable.Working alone with a grabber it took 15 minuets to get shoe on.

Finally a pair of shoes easy for seniors to get on and off. My 94 year old Uncle loves them! They look nice, they give his foot good support with easy to walk in soles, and not too bulky!
Kpering –
Easy to put on, good for high arches and sore feet and big feet. Great that you can adjust width depending on sock size, foot swelling etc. good grip for a casual shoe. I’m buying a second pair and my partner a pair. I will use one inside only as slippers. Very happy with them. And I find it very hard to find shoes that are comfortable. I don’t have diabetes, just sore achey large feet.

These are great as they accommodate swelling of my feet. One foot swells more than the other so the fastening apparatus accommodates that issue
Thomas Neil –
The shoes fit my swollen feet perfectly and the velcro fastner makes it essay to put on.
